Our at-home blood testing kit will check you for HIV & syphilis.
Find out whether you might have HIV or Syphilis with an easy-to-use home test kit. Your test kit will arrive in discreet packaging and your results will be entirely confidential. It’s a good idea to get tested regularly and whenever you have a new sexual partner.
Testing for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, mycoplasma genitalium and trichomonas requires either a urine test or a straightforward swab test. You will also need to take a blood sample to test for HIV, syphilis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. This involves pricking your finger with a special needle called a lancet and collecting blood in a small sample pot.
Most people don’t find it painful. After collecting your samples, you return it in the pre-paid box to our in-house lab. You will receive your results within 2-3 days of your sample reaching our lab.
If you’re sexually active, then regular STI testing is one of the best things you can do to look after your health and that of your partner(s). Many people with an STI don’t have any symptoms and so it’s possible to have an STI without knowing.
Our home STI tests are easy to do at a time and place that suits you. But if you have any symptoms, or a partner has tested positive for one or more STIs then you should get tested at a sexual health service as soon as you can.
The only way to know if you have HIV or Syphilis is to get tested. We recommend getting tested every 3-12 months, depending on your risk. You should also test whenever you have a new sexual partner, or if you want to stop using condoms with a regular partner.
We recommend waiting until:
You can still do a test now but if it is negative you may need another test later.
Test results are normally ready within 3 working days of your sample arriving at our in-house laboratory. You will receive a text and an email when your results are ready with further instructions.
If you don’t receive your results within seven days of posting your sample, contact us.
Where you have a reactive (positive) test result for either HIV or syphilis, you will need to visit a sexual health clinic as soon as possible.
We will signpost you to local services where you can get any treatment, help and advice that you need.
