I have been raped and/or sexually assaulted, what do I do?

  • If you are in immediate danger please call 999
  • The NHS website Help after rape and sexual assault - NHS (www.nhs.uk) has a lot of information to inform you of what you can do and includes contact numbers for specialist services who also have the option of an online chat if you do not want to physically speak to someone.
  • If you are unable to use the internet you can call the national rape crisis team directly on 0808 500 2222 24 hours a day.
  • You can find and contact your local Sexual Assault Referral centre by inputting your postcode via this link Find rape and sexual assault referral centres - NHS (www.nhs.uk)
