I think I am at risk of HIV, what do I do?

If you have had a recent sexual contact with someone you believe may have HIV you may be eligible for a medication to prevent HIV being transmitted to you called Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
This medication can only be taken within 72 hours of the high risk contact. It is not always required but an assessment can be requested by contacting your local sexual health service or if they are closed you can attend accident and emergency department.at your local hospital.
